The forex screeners take much of the work off the trader’s shoulders by allowing him or her to quickly find a stock based on criteria they’ve defined, like market capitalization, or size and value of the company, dividend yield, industry, or share price.

A screener is included in the trading platforms offered by online brokers (and some brokers also offer screens for exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, and options). Nevertheless, many advanced traders recommend Finviz, which has in-depth screening capabilities that can help you narrow down trading opportunities. Additionally, the site offers charts, U.S. and international market maps, and quotes. Finviz’s basic services are free, but its elite subscription starts just under $25 a month.
